HEEL PAIN

Pain is the leading reason why many people visit a doctor or any medic, just like any other, heel pain causes discomfort and difficult in walking.

Causes: there are many causes but the most common is poor bio-mechanics, simply poor gait putting too much stretch on the muscles. 
Poor footwear is another cause of heal pain.
Injury can cause heal pain, especially injuries to the foot, heel and Achilles tendon.
Overweight- being obese/overweight translates to excessive stress on the heel during ambulation. These stresses result into the growth of bony spurs, accompanied with poor footwear and posture, it results into painful heal.
Occupations that require long standing hours, puts much stresses in the heel which may result in pain.
Arthritis may be the cause of heel pain.
Prevention:always wear shoes that fit well and soles that absorb shock, with supportive heel counters.
Lose excessive weight if you’re overweight or obese.
Rest in between your activities and use proper nutrition.
Avoid activities that aggravate the pain. 
Treatment:a visit to your doctor is required. He or she will refer you to the appropriate specialist to treat you.
Surgery is the last option in treatment of heel pain.
